Mytherine Announce Their Triumphant Return With Epic New Album ‘Lord of Mountains’ — Out November 14th, 2025
From the heart of Berlin’s underground metal scene, epic death metal force MYTHERINE rise once more with their long-awaited second full-length album, “Lord of Mountains”, set for release on November 14th, 2025.
Known for their sweeping soundscapes, myth-inspired storytelling, and melodic yet devastating approach to death metal, Mytherine have crafted an album that channels the grandeur of fantasy lore into pure sonic might.
Forged in Myth and Melody
Blending the atmosphere of Graveworm and Shade Empire with the epic scope of Septicflesh and Be’lakor, “Lord of Mountains” builds on Mytherine’s trademark sound — one that weaves melodic guitar work, crushing rhythm, and cinematic arrangements into a powerful tapestry of emotion and lore.
The band’s lyrics explore themes from their own mythos, taking inspiration from J.R.R. Tolkien, The Witcher, and the Dark Souls universe, shaping worlds of darkness, heroism, and ancient power.
From Dawn to the Summit
Formed in Berlin, Germany in 2011, Mytherine quickly carved their place in the European death metal scene through ferocious live performances and a cinematic approach to composition. Their 2015 debut, “Dawn of a New Era”, established the foundation of their sound — but “Lord of Mountains” marks a bold evolution.
After years of lineup changes and the global pause brought by the pandemic, the band returned to the studio in December 2024, recording partly at Noir Surge Studio and LTMF Studio, with mastering handled at LSD Studio. The result is a record that captures both the brutality of battle and the beauty of myth — a journey of growth, rebirth, and rediscovery.
A Monumental Step Forward
“Lord of Mountains” continues to expand Mytherine’s dark, epic soundscapes — but this time, with even greater intensity and a refined production that places their storytelling and musicianship in a new light. Fans can expect a record that merges the grandeur of epic fantasy with the visceral emotion of melodic death metal — a true odyssey for the mind and the mosh pit alike.
